On 15 March, in the HQ of Armenian Red Cross Society the stakeholders meeting of the pilot project “Safe to school and safe to home” in the frames of "Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) Road Safety 2" project was held. Representatives of Traffic Police, Transport and General Education Department of Yerevan Municipality, National Road Safety Council NGO and school No. 10 named after Khrimyan Hayrik attended the event.
The program aims at improving children's safety on the streets, reduce the number of children who received death/injury in a road accident on the way to school and from school to home.
During the meeting were discussed existing traffic risks around the selected school and the possible ways to reduce them, as a result, educational awareness action plan was developed, which will help to eliminate possible dangers.
