On March 1st simulation exercise titled “Protection of the stuff and visitors of Armenia's National Library in case of fires” was organized by Ministry of Emergency Situations in Armenia's National Library dedicated to International day of Civil Protection.
Armenian Red Cross Society participated in the exercise. Disaster Management department placed a tent at the “scene” and the volunteers of First Aid department organized the “make-up” for conditional victims.
Since April, 1994 Armenia is a member of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO). On March 1st, in all over the country various events were organized, with the aim to raise citizens’ awareness and disaster preparedness.
