Armenian Red Cross Society will assist Syrian refugees thanks to the cooperation with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society

On 7 December, Dr. Anna Yeghiazaryan, Armenian Red Cross Society Secretary General and Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer signed the agreement of “Syrian Refugee support in Armenia” project.

The project started on 1 November, 2019 and will continue until 31 October, 2020. The objective of the project is improving the social well-being of Syrian Refugees in Armenia, by providing humanitarian assistance and access to education.   

In the frames of the project:

• 60 the most vulnerable families will receive food parcels quarterly,
• 170 the most vulnerable families will receive cash vouchers for winter cloths two times during the year,
• 30 the most vulnerable beneficiaries will receive grants for expensive medical interventions
• 40 students from vulnerable families will receive educational partly fees.  

The overall amount of the support will be USD 100 000.
