Armenian Red Cross Society, within the economic opportunities and economic development component of the IRIS programme announces
a three-month paid traineeship opportunity
for unemployed Syrian Armenian and local Armenian jobseekers, which allows participants to obtain better education and professional experience and eventually a stable and durable job.
Who
The “Increased Resilience of Syrian Armenians and Host Population” (IRIS) programme – with funding from the EU Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis (Madad Fund) and from the Austrian Development Cooperation – aims to improve the social and economic resilience of Syrian Armenians and host population and to strengthen the institutional capacities for economic growth in Armenia. Under the lead of Austrian Red Cross, it is implemented by Armenian Caritas, Armenian Red Cross Society, Coordination Centre for Syrian Armenians’ Issues and SME Cooperation Association.
For whom
- Unemployed Syrian Armenian refugees and unemployed local Armenians over the age of 18
- Any professional sector or branch is eligible
100 trainees will be selected based on criteria such as motivation, skills and knowledge and experience, after which suitable employers will be identified and both will be linked up using a personal interview as a first step. In case of a green light from both parties a three party contract will be signed. Each traineeship will be financially supported for three months.

Recommendation letters from previous employers and vocational training providers will be considered as an advantage.
